Into the homestretch

April 4, 2022

Into the homestretch … With just 24 days to go until the first picks start coming off the board at the 2022 draft we are definitely into the homestretch. The pro day circuit is pretty much done, although there is still a small handful of schools, including LSU which holds its work out on Wednesday, still to come. And the LSU pro day has some significance as polarizing CB Derek Stingley is scheduled to run the 40 for the first time. There will also be private workouts for players over the next couple of weeks including one at Southern California where WR Drake London, one of the top 2-3 receivers in this year’s draft will run after fracturing a foot late last season. In fact, players like London with major physical issues will be going back to Indianapolis for follow-up testing in the next little while. Meanwhile, pro personnel departments will be returning to their respective war rooms and putting the final touches on their boards and draft plans as we head to the 28th.
