Injured Gopher RB to seek 6th year … Minnesota RB Rodney Smith, a later round or free agent draft prospect, will reportedly apply for a 6th year of eligibility after he suffered a season-ending knee injury early in Saturday’s win over Fresno State. Smith has already used up his redshirt year so will have apply for the additional year of eligibility. Smith is 5-10, 210 and already has close to 3,000 career rushing yards.
