Star Houston declares for draft – next year … All-American junior DT Ed Oliver, who is not eligible for the this year’s draft, told the Houston Chronicle after the Cougars first day of spring practice that he will definitely be entering the 2019 draft where he is projected to be a top 5-10 pick. The 6-3, 290-pound Oliver has been one of the best players in the country since first stepping on the field as a true freshman but isn’t draft eligible because he’s only been out of high school for two years. Underclassmen have until January 15th, 2019 to file paperwork with the NFL in order to be eligible for next year’s draft.
