‘Hawks nab Buckeye QB Stroud in latest mock

September 7, 2022

‘Hawks nab Buckeye QB Stroud first overall in latest mock; 4 QBs in top ten … We actually tried to post our latest first-round projection for the 2023 draft last night, but the only thing we could link to for some reason was our mock from earlier this spring. So let’s try that again here. As noted in the text last night, we see Seattle having the first pick and grabbing Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud, with Houston tabbing Alabama DE Will Anderson second and the NY Jets taking Georgia DT Jalen Carter third, while Jacksonville and Chicago round out the top 5 with the Jags selecting Ohio State WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba fourth and the Bears taking Clemson DT Bryan Bresee 5th. The back half of the top ten features a run on QBs with Carolina taking Bryce Young of Alabama 6th, Atlanta selecting Will Levis of Kentucky 8th and Houston taking Anthony Richardson of Florida 9th with a pick acquired from Cleveland in the deal for Deshaun Watson.
