Good day for Michigan DT Hurst

March 23, 2018

Good day for Michigan DT Hurst … Just being back on the field today at the Michigan pro day made it a good day for DT Maurice Hurst. However, the fact that he was able to perform up to old level made it even better. Hurst, who is considered to be a potential mid-to-late first round prospect for the upcoming draft, was sent home from last month’s combine after an EKG revealed an irregular heartbeat. Hurst, though, was reportedly cleared to get back to work a couple of weeks ago and he made up for last time as he reportedly ran the 40 in the 4.9 range – a very god time for someone his size; he also reportedly looked very explosive in positional drills. All 32 teams were represented at the Michigan pro day and while no head coaches were in attendance, there were defensive line coaches there from three teams: Miami, Cincinnati and Philadelphia.
