Tide OT; Ole Miss QB top two picks in quarter pole projection .., With the college season at the mid-way point and the NFL having just passed the quarter pole, it seemed like as ad time to update the GBN opening round projection for the 2022 draft. And with the first two picks we had Jacksonville taking Alabama OT Evan Neal at #2, while Detroit took Mississippi QB at #2. Again, as we have noted in the past, the point of a mock at this time of year is not to try and predict which team is going to pick which particular player, but to get some idea where players are likely to be coming off the board. Also note that we have Philadelphia making Indianapolis’ pick at #6. The Colts still technically control that pick, but it goes to the Eagles if QB Carson Wentz, whom Philadelphia traded to Indianapolis in the off-season plays 75% of the team’s snaps this season and he’s already at around 30%.
