Full football camps to open … What could be the weirdest season that anyone has ever experienced gets underway in earnest tomorrow when all NFL training camps open to veteran players. For now, the regular season is still to get underway on the weekend of September 10th-14th. In fact, the pre-season schedule will be completely new. Instead of pre-season games, there will be an acclimation period of 12 days which will include eight days of strictly strength and conditioning exercises and practice walk-throughs, as well as four days of strictly shells-and-helmets practices. Teams will be permitted to start padded practices on August 17th. Final cut-down to 53 is set for September 5th. And with training camp set to open just two first round picks from the 2020 draft remain unsigned after former Georgia OT Andrew Thomas, the 4th player selected this past April came to terms with the Giants earlier this evening. The two unsigned picks are QB Joe Burrow, whom Cincinnati took with the first pick overall, while Tennessee still has to sign OT Isaiah Wilson, the 29th player taken.
