ECU ER Harvey denied 5th year; to enter draft … The NCAA has denied East Carolina DE/ER Nate Harvey a 5th season of eligibility, meaning that he will be entered in the 2019 draft field. Harvey had applied for the extra eligibility because he barely played in his freshman season at Georgia Military College, however, he did appear in more than 4 games and that’s the basis of the ruling. Harvey is an interesting prospect who was named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year this past season, which was his first playing on the defensive side of the ball, where he had 14.5 sacks, the 4th highest total in the entire FBS. Prior to this season, Harvey was a reserve RB and special teamer. He’s not all that big at barely 6-0, 225, but he’s a former high school track star who has some hops and could very well get some serious 3rd day interest from NFL teams this coming April.
