Eagles’GM commits to QB Hurts, sort of

Eagles’ GM commits to QB Hurts, but will still be looking at all options … During his season-ending news conference earlier today, Philadelphia G.M. Howie Roseman said that QB Jalen Hurts has earned the starting job for 2022 and the Eagles would be focusing on building the rest of the team around him. Hurts led the Eagles to the playoffs with a late rally this season, but there has been speculation that the Eagles would still look to use one or more of their three first-round picks this year to acquire either a QB in the draft or a veteran in a trade. The big question for the Eagles going forward is whether Hurts has the arm talent to take the team to the next level after completing just 61% of his passes this season. At the same time, Roseman implied that all options are on the table for the Eagles including the possibilities of either trading for a veteran QB or selecting one early at the 2022 draft. And, of course, the Eagles, who control the 15th, 16th and 19th picks in this year’s opening round, have lots of capital to attempt either option. Stay tuned! Just 99 days to go until the draft!
