Eagles get Bears RB Howard for late future pick … Oh, those 2020 6th round picks are hot! For the second time in just a few hours, a 6th round pick has been traded as Philadelphia has reportedly sent their 6th rounder that year to Chicago in exchange for veteran RB Jordan Howard. However, the pick is conditional in that it could escalate to a #5 based on Howard’s productivity with the Eagles. Earlier today, Dallas shipped a 2020 6th rounder to Miami for DE Robert Quinn. Howard is entering the final year of his rookie contract at a base salary of just over $2M after rushing for 935 yards and 9 TDs last fall. With the Eagles Howard addresses one of the team’s biggest needs. Indeed, RBs such as Josh Jacobs of Alabama have been projected to be the Eagles first-round pick this year in numerous mock drafts that are out there. Of course, the Eagles could still go there, but the addition of a quality veteran like Howard gives them the flexibility to address other areas with their early picks this year.
