Draft heads back to Philly … The NFL has finally confirmed that the 2017 draft will be held in Philadelphia on the weekend of April 27-29 next spring. In fact, the first ever draft was held in Philadelphia back in 1936, while the last draft held in the city was in 1961. After a 50-year run in New York, the NFL moved the draft to Chicago in 2015 and 2016 where the event drew an estimated 200,000 fans. Meanwhile, Dallas is believed to be hot after the 2018 draft and Green Bay has reportedly expressed an interest in hosting the draft in 2019, 2020 or 2021. Meanwhile, several other sites have also expressed some level of interest in hosting a future draft including Los Angeles, Detroit, Denver, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, and Atlanta, along with Canton, the home of the NFL Hall-of-Fame.
