A death in the family … Sad news from the scouting community as long-time NFL exec Tom Modrak passed away yesterday. He was 74. Modrak began his career as a scout with Pittsburgh in the 1970s and was best known as G.M. in Philadelphia in the late 1990s and as Buffalo’s vice president of college scouting from 2001 to 2011. At the time of his death, Modrak was executive director of the BLESTO scouting service. Our condolences to his family.
