Conference Championship Match-ups

December 4, 2015

We’ve hit the finish line for the College Football regular season, but now the frosting hits the cake with Conference Championships.

SEC CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY DEC 5TH 4PM CBS
ALABAMA (11-1) by 10 vs. FLORIDA (10-2)
I’d like to tell you that this will be your typical SEC showdown with fireworks to spare. But I think the Gators have a snowball’s chance in South Florida to win this thing. They just don’t have a top level Offense and the Defense can only be expected to do so much. HC JIM McELWAIN certainly has GATOR faithful excited and they should be for the future. But their future begins after this affair. I will go so far as to project the ‘BAMA Defense scoring more points than the Gators Offense. If this game is even closer than a 10-point spread I will vote for McELWAIN as national coach of the year. Enjoy prospect watching because that is likely to be the most interesting aspect of this contest. Prospects to watch:

ACC CHAMPIONSHIP SAT DEC. 5 8PM ABC
CLEMSON (12-0) by 3 vs NORTH CAROLINA (11-1)
In this game I believe you should expect a tight battle between two teams that can both claim to have beaten 5 opponents with winning records, which means a lot to yours truly. They both future very explosive run/pass threat QB in DeSHAUN WATSON/#4 and MARQUISE WILLIAMS/#12 and can light up the scoreboard like a Christmas tree. But they also feature active and opportunistic defenses as well. In other words, do not be shocked if the Tar Heels force CLemson to play a full 60 minutes to decide the victor. All that being said this Clemson team is special with some very impressive young talent. Prospects to watch:
