Comp picks awarded; Niners, Rams lead way … The NFL has just announced that 37 compensatory picks have been to 16 teams for the 2023 draft. A pair of NFC West teams led the way, with the 49ers receiving a league-high seven selections and the Rams netting four. The 37 compensatory picks include five special selections that were awarded at the end of the third round to teams that have had a minority employee hired as a head coach or primary football executive by another club. For now here is the list of comp picks per NFL.com. In addition to the 49ers and Rams, Arizona, Kansas City, and Dallas get three comp picks apiece, while Washington, New England, Green Bay, Las Vegas, Tampa Bay and the NY Giants all get two. At the same time, Cleveland, Minnesota, New Orleans, Chicago and Houston got one comp pick each. Note, though, that the Chiefs previously traded their 3rd round comp pick to the Giants as part of the package for WR Kadarius Toney.
