College football updates … Mississippi State has confirmed the worst kept secret in college football that RB Kylin Hill has in fact officially opted out and has declared for the draft. The 5-10, 210-pound Hill, who ran for over 1,300 yards last season, is one of the top 5 or so backs available in the upcoming draft. At the same time, Pittsburgh has confirmed that FS Paris Ford has opted out of his team’s final 4 games and has declared for the draft. Like Hill, the 6-0, 190-pound Ford, who led the Panthers in tackles this season and last, while he picked off three passes in each, is one of the top 5 prospects at his position. Meanwhile, rising Division II DT Kenny Randall of Charleston of West Virginia is also opting out and declaring for the draft. At 6-3, 300, Randall is a man among boys at that level and last season had 64 tackles including 7 sacks. He’s a legit third day player that could very likely receive a Senior Bowl invitation.
