College football kicks off

Are you ready for some football??? … Of course you are as the 2016 college football season kicks off for real this weekend with a rather intriguing slate of opening week games. Defending national champion Alabama, for example, plays Southern California in the annual kick-off game in Arlington on Saturday night, while SEC West co-favorite LSU meets Wisconsin at historical Lambeau Stadium in Green Bay in a late game Saturday afternoon. Elsewhere, #2 Clemson plays at Auburn in another Saturday nighter. Earlier Saturday, #3 Oklahoma plays at Houston, arguably the top-rated non-power conference team in the country, in a huge test for both, while UCLA plays at Texas A&M and Georgia hosts North Carolina in other key games on Saturday. Then on Sunday, with the NFL on hiatus, Notre Dame plays at Texas, while Mississippi plays Florida State in Orlando on Monday night.
