CFL schedule kicks off

By | June 12, 2019

Are you ready for some football lite … The 2019 CFL season kicks off this weekend with four games on tap. Saskatchewan and Hamilton will get things underway when they meet at 7 PM ET on Thursday evening. Montreal will then play in Edmonton on Friday night, followed by a double header on Saturday night with Ottawa playing in Calgary in a 2018 Grey Cup replay, while Winnipeg will be at B.C. to wrap up the weekend. The 2019 CFL schedule will culminate with the 107th Grey Cup game in Calgary on November 24th. It will be something of a year of change, especially at QB, in the Canadian league this season. Mike Reilly, who threw for over 5,500 yards last fall for Edmonton, signed as a free agent with western rival B.C. The Eskimos filled the gap by signing Trevor Harris away from Ottawa. Meanwhile, veteran Toronto QB Ricky Ray retired. The rest of the league, though, will still have to deal with Calgary and QB Bo Levi Mitchell who isn’t going anywhere after winning last year’s CFL Player of the Year honours.
