Cards, Colts up to 3-4 … As a result of Denver’s upset win over the LA Chargers in a late afternoon game, Arizona has locked up the 3rd pick overall at the 2023 draft, while Indianapolis has moved up into the 4th spot. The win over the Chargers dropped the Broncos down a couple of spots to #5, which actually belongs to Seattle, while Detroit will pick 6th with a selection acquired from the LA Rams’ selection and Las Vegas will pick 7th. At the same time, there are 6 teams with 7-10 records that will make picks 8 thru 13 in the following order: Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, Tennessee, Cleveland and the NY Jets. Earlier in the day, Chicago wrapped up the #1 pick in the draft for the first time since 1946 when the Bears lost to Minnesota while Houston, which will now pick 2nd, rallied to a late win over Indianapolis. The full updated selection order will be posted at the conclusion of tonight’s game between Detroit and Green Bay.
