Cardinals back on the clock … The first round of the 2019 draft is in the books but there won’t be a lot of sleep this evening for NFL personnel people as most teams will be resetting their boards and getting ready for the second day which gets underway at 7 PM ET Friday evening with a ton of really good players still on the board. In fact, one of the headlines from the first day of the draft is that several virtual locks to be first round picks weren’t selected at all including QB Drew Lock, WR D.K. Metcalf, OTs Jawaan Taylor and Cody Ford and CBs Greedy Williams and Byron Murphy. Heading the list of other top prospects still on the board heading into the second day of the draft are QBs Ryan Finley and Will Grier; WRs AJ Brown, Hakeem Butler and Parris Campbell; TE Irv Smith; OT Dalton Risner; Cs Erik McCoy and Elgton Jenkins; DE Jaylon Ferguson; LB Mack Wilson; CBs Rock Ya-Sin, Justin Layne and Joejuan Williams; and safeties Nasir Adderly, Taylor Rapp and Juan Thornhill.
