‘Canes get QB King back

Canes’ QB King to return … Miami got a big belated Christmas present today when star dual threat QB D’Eriq King announced that he will take advantage of the extra year of eligibility the NCAA offered all players because of the pandemic and return to school for a second season. King transferred to Miami from Houston prior to the 2020 season for what he thought would be his final year of eligibility. King is a little undersized for a top NFL QB prospect but has been very productive college players. This year. for example, he completed 64% of his pass attempts including 22 for scores, while adding over 500 yards and 4 more TDs for the Hurricanes who finished the year at 8-2. And with King back in the fold, Miami appears to be positioned to make a run at Clemson’s dominance in the ACC next fall.
