Camp roster size confirmed; cut-down days announced … The NFL has confirmed that teams will be allowed to carry 90 players going to training camp later this summer. There has been some confusion among teams as to what the roster max would actually be for training camp. In fact, its been reported that some teams held off on signing some undrafted rookie free agents until they did get some clarity on the official roster size to be allowed. At the same time, the NFL announced that there will be three cu-down deadlines this fall. Teams will have to be down to 85 players by August 17th and 80 players one week later on August 24th. The big cut comes comes by August 31st when teams have to be down to their opening day 53 man rosters. The three cut-down dates come at end of each of the three pre-season games for each team.
