Busy day around the NFL and it ain’t over yet … Anybody thinking we’d kind of have a quiet day today after the combine is probably sorely disappointed as there have been a number of moves as well as lots of rumors with the start of the new football year just over a week away. It still not quite finalized, but former Las Vegas QB Derek Carr has reportedly agreed to a 4Y, $150M contract with New Orleans. For the mathematically challenged that’s just under $38M per. And with Carr in the fold, the Saints are expected to release veteran QB Jameis Winston. Meanwhile, Minnesota has released MLB Eric Kendricks, a n 8-year veteran has been a stalwart on their D, while Tennessee released DE Bud Dupree. That latter move is surprising enough, but the Titans were also reportedly shopping star RB Derrick Henry during the combine. The LA Rams are shopping DE Leonard Floyd and are expected to release him if they don’t get any takers. Dallas has placed the franchise tag on RB Tony Pollard, while it appears Las Vegas will do the same for RB Josh Jacobs. The deadline for teams to designate franchise and transition players is tomorrow at 4 PM ET.
