Buckeye WR also on injury watch … Over the last week or so we have noted that three of the top 5-6 prospects for the upcoming draft – Alabama QB Bryce Young and star DTs Jalen Carter of Georgia and Clemson’s Bryan Bresee – are all currently on the injury list for one reason or another. In fact, there’s a 4th guy in the top 5 range who is out these days and that’s Ohio State WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Smith-Njigba, who is currently the 4th ranked prospect on the GBN Big Board and is generally considered to be the top wideout prospect for the upcoming draft, has barely played this fall so far because of a lingering hamstring issue. So far, his absence hasn’t hurt the 5-0 Buckeyes who are ranked 3rd in the country and Ohio State trainers are being very careful with the injury and don’t want to push him to ensure that he’ll be 100% later in the season. The Buckeyes, for example, play #10 Penn State on October 29th and of course meet Michigan, currently the 4th ranked team nationally in their season finale on November 26th.
