Are Browns wavering on top pick??? There have been multiple reports in recent days, including in the local Cleveland media, that the Browns are still undecided as to whether to select Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett or North Carolina QB Mitch Trubisky, a former Mr. Ohio from the area, with the first pick overall at the 2017 draft, now just 5 days away. According to the reports, there is a split in the Browns’ management with head coach Hue Jackson and the coaching staff strongly favoring Garrett, while G.M. Sashi Brown and the front office reportedly think its time to get their QB of the future. The timing of the reports is a little odd, though, as Brown seemed to clearly indicate at his pre-draft presser earlier in the week that the Browns were taking Garrett, but would be willing to move up from the 12th pick to get Trubisky if the opportunity presented itself. However, the Browns’ are apparently concerned that San Francisco may take Trubisky with the 2nd pick before Cleveland had a chance to move up.
