Browns out of Watson sweepstakes … Cleveland has reportedly been told that they are no longer being considered as a potential landing spot for Houston QB Deshaun Watson. That leaves Carolina, Atlanta and New Orleans as presumably the final three finalists for his services, barring a surprise late entry by another team like Seattle or Philadelphia. Meanwhile, the Browns have to deal with the question of what to do with Baker Mayfield. The Browns are saying Mayfield is still their starting QB and have denied a request by Mayfield that he wants to be traded. How they repair the relationship, though, is difficult to imagine especially after Mayfield sent out a ‘tank you’ note for the support he received from fans in Cleveland. Stay tuned!
