Bonus coverage … With the college football season underway, but the NFL campaign still a week away, the colleges take over Monday night football, at least for the week. Tonight it will be Louisville playing Mississippi in Atlanta with KO at 8 PM ET on ESPN. And while this campaign doesn’t have the overall glamor of some other games this weekend such as #3 Clemson battling #5 Georgia on Saturday evening, it does feature one of the very best QB prospects for the 2022 draft in Matt Corral (#2, 6-2, 205) of Ole Miss. Despite playing on a team that was over-matched physically on almost a weekly basis last year, he led the country in total offense per game as he threw for over 330 yards per game and ran for another 50. Along the way he completed 71% of his pass attempts while throwing for 29 scores. Pro scouts, though, would like to see him improve his decision making after he also threw 14 picks last fall. A little bit like BYU”s Zack Wilson, the 2nd player selected at the 2021 draft – they are in fact about the same size – Corral has a quick release, throws darts and can really move around.
