Bolts officially part ways with QB Rivers

Bolts officially part ways with long-time QB Rivers … The Los Angeles Chargers confirmed the NFL’s worst kept secret earlier today when the team formally announced that they have mutually parted ways with veteran QB Philip Rivers after 16 seasons. The 38-year-old Rivers now becomes an unrestricted free agent able to sign with any team once the new NFL year starts next month. And while Rivers is coming off one of his worst seasons as a pro, he likely will be able to find a new football home, as there are so many teams looking to upgrade at the position this off-season. It also means that the Chargers could very well be looking at QBs at the 2020 draft, where they hold the 6th pick overall.
