Rising Bobcat QB injured … Star Ohio QB Kurtis Rourke, one of the most prolific passers in the country, was forced to leave last night’s win over Ball State with an undisclosed knee injury. Rourke had to be helped off the field after being hit following a pass late in the second quarter and spent the second half on the sidelines wearing a knee brace. Rourke, a Canadian from Oakville, Ontario is 5th in the NCAA with almost 3,300 passing yards this year as he has completed 69% of his passes with 25 TDs and just four interceptions. It was noted in an earlier report on Rourke that he wasn’t really auditioning for the NFL this year, but was more likely to look to transfer to a Power 5 program this winter. And, yes Rourke is the younger brother of Nathan Rourke, another former Bobcat QB, who took the CFL by storm this year. And with Rourke’s BC Lions having been eliminated from the CFL playoffs on the weekend, he’ll be holding private workouts with team’s around the NFL in the coming weeks.
