Bills cut WRs Benjamin, Holmes … Interesting that on the same day that Mississippi junior A.J. Brown, the consensus top receiver prospect in this year’s draft class, announced that he will be entering the 2019 draft, Buffalo released veteran WR Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes. Benjamin is currently second on the Bills this season with 354 receiving yards, but that’s probably not what Buffalo was expecting when they traded third- and seventh-round picks to acquire the 2014 first rounder from Carolina last fall. Even with Benjamin and Holmes on 0the roster, WR was considered a major area of need the Bills would likely have to address at the upcoming draft; with those two gone, it is almost imperative that Buffalo, which would have the 8th pick overall were the draft held this week, address the situation possibly making Brown an attractive option with their top pick.
