Big Board, positional rankings updated … With the first month plus of the college season now in the books we have updated both the GBN Big Board ranking of the top 50+ prospects for the upcoming draft, along with the specific positional groupings (as per the drop-down menu above.) A couple of things that kind of jumped out. First, at least at this time, there doesn’t appear to be a clear #1 prospect either at QB or at the other positions. We finally settled on Georgia DE Mykal Williams for that spot this time around based largely on his unlimited ceiling at a high-value position, but there are as many as a half dozen other players for whom one could also make a case. Same story among the QBs where, as we have noted in earlier reports, there is still a ton of sorting out to be done. Also note that players who have made big moves the past month include QBs Drew Allar of Penn State, USC’s Miller Moss and Garrett Nussmeier of LSU; Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty; and WRs Tre Harris of Mississippi, Isaiah Bond of Texas and UNLV’s Ricky White.
