Bengals back to Dalton at QB;

Bengals give ball back to Dalton; QB on draft horizon … Cincinnati’s experiment with rookie QB Ryan Finley is over after three games as the Bengals have announced that veteran Andy Dalton will start this weekend against the NY Jets on Sunday; in fact, barring injury, the Bengals expect Dalton to start the remainder of the year. Cincinnati had some hopes that Finley, a 4th round pick from NC State at last April’s draft, had some potential to be a long-term option at the position, which might allow the Bengals to use this year’s first round pick – the still winless Bengals would have the #1 pick overall were the draft held this week. However, in his three starts, Finley completed less than 50% of his passes with just 2 TD passes along with a couple of picks. Of course, Finley could develop into that quality starter down the road, but it is going to be tough for the Bengals to pass on a QB with this year’s top pick, even with a stud defender like Ohio State DE Chase Young on the board. Stay tuned!
