All OL times

OL 40 times … For the record, here are the 40 times now for both groups of offensive linemen. A couple of highlights from the second group to note. Most notable may have been the run of Tennessee OT Darnell Wright. There was a bit of a first-round buzz about Wright the past couple of weeks, but there were concerns that he was a pure RT without the speed to play the more important LT side. However, the fact that Wright was able to post a very quick 5.01 which might change that discussion. At the same time, Clemson’s Jordan McFadden ran a 4.99 clocking making him the only interior lineman to have broken the 5-flat mark.  North Dakota State OT Cody Mauch had a nice 5.09 clocking, although the fact that he has only 32.5″ arms means a lot of teams are going to look at him as an OG. Meanwhile, Northwestern’s Peter Skoronski ran a respectable 5.18 40 with a better 1.75 split. On the other hand, none of the top-rated C/Gs in the second group had particularly good times, but for most NFL teams that really isn’t their game. Florida’s O’Cyrus Torrence, for example, clocked a 5.31 with a 1.84 split, while Minnesota C John Michael Schmitz was timed in 5.35 with a 1.85 split and Michigan C Olu Oluwatimi clocked in at 5.38 with a 1.86 split.
