Note that while the following rankings incorporate GBN staff evaluations of the respective players, the final ranking reflects as much as possible the latest intelligence on how NFL teams currently have the players graded.
X indicates a player has some kind of injury that could impact his final grade
O indicates a player has some kind of off-field issue that could impact his grade

What happened to Zach Hodges of Harvard–he was in the top 100 in one your earlier Boards?
We have heard that has kind of dropped way down the draft radar for a number of reasons
Interesting–I also heard that he may have turned off several teams at interviews. I thought he played decently at OLB in the Senior Bowl, considering that it was the first time he had played in a stand-up role (he was strictly at DE at Harvard). As a fellow Harvard alum, I watched him closely for 4 years and he was almost unblockable at that level. He was co-Player of the Yea in the Ivy League on defense this past season. Matt Birk, Isiah Kacyvenski, Ryan Fitzpatrick and other Harvard players have shown they can play well in the NFL. I hope he gets drafted, and that you reconsider your placement on him. This is a good article which may provide you with some better insight on him:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2423782-left-parentless-and-homeless-harvard-stars-amazing-journey-may-lead-to-the-nfl
Would it make you feel a bit better if I told you I have listed OC/NOCK EASTON as prospect 309 on my personal list?
Pigskin
Yes. Easton was an excellent center who helped Harvard’s offense dominate both in the run and passing game. On Hodges, there was another article on him in today’s NY Times. I do think that he will be drafted, probably in the 5th-7th round range by a team that runs a 3-4 defense where he would play outside LB. Don’t be surprised if the Ravens take a flyer on him…
Justin coleman cb tenn didn’t make cut?
I am trying to talk Colin into expanding our list to Top 300 and I would put him on that final 50 range. Pigskin
So what happened to Lorenzo Mauldin? He went from 63rd to completely off you rankings.
I think it’s another case of flipping a few players and then a name gets lost in the shuffle. I do not see MAULDIN either and my guess is Colin will find a way to get him back in somewhere in the Top 100 still.
Mystery solved … couple of days ago we dropped Kikaha of Washington a ton of spots as there is word that a number of teams have actually taken him off their boards after a really poor pro day as well as some health concerns. Later somebody wrote in to say we had Kikaha in two spots which I couldn’t figure out at the time because I know I had deleted him from the low 60s. It appears I actually dumped Mauldin in error. Thanks for the tip. ed
seen plenty of picks in rounds 2 rounds higher than they should go. Not realistic IMO. Ive done hundreds of Mocks, wish i got a chance to be in this one. In 2nd round would have passed on Maxx W the TE and fired DE Preston Smith or CB Byron Jones from Uconn, or Shaq Thomson for Safety or Kendricks ILB, as solid ILB after R2 tough to find.
He takes Jay Ayayi RB over G Kouandro from Bama… Points favor Arie there….. with LAken still on board too. as he could of grabbed TJ Yelden with next pick in 4th…Diggs go before Rasheed Green in fifth? WTF Diggs is 6th end pick fellas not 5th.. Value Screams Rasheed Green here at WR…. . Wes Sexton TE would be ok here or Hickey OT but not this Center 1 end early. Good pick but 32 picks early IMO.
In 6th you have to take Marcus Hardison somehow slips thru cracks and is there in 6th…Pure Value yes you have D Shelton #1 but you can’t let him go… Probably lose Big Hank in a year so fire Marcus in 6th…
I use Ourlads Guides and rankings…. more pro scouts and teams use Dans stuff.. so their tearing is super accurate…pro scout for many years
Maybe i can get on this list for next year…
How about Sam Ficken — Penn St.– PK….Yes, No, Maybe.
FICKEN is likely to get signed as URFA and taken to a Trianing Camp. But if he emerged to win a job it would be a large surprise. Pigskin
I think that one name that should have been on your list or on Paul’s “just missed the cut” is Kaleb Johnson, OG/OT from Rutgers. Wasn’t at the combine but ran a 5.08 and did 34 reps at Rutgers’ Pro Day. Weighed in at 308. 4 year starter.
I don’t think he gets on that list for me, but I will say to you that I think he’s not getting anough luv in general and could be a 7th Rounder for someone with a power running game O like San Diego or Carolina. If not, he will get multiple offfers as a URFA and will make a push for a job next Spetember. I like him more than most folks NJM.
Great work gentlemen- it took me about a half dozen passes before I finally saw Tayo Fabuluje on the list, a sleeper pick of mine, but after even more passes I still don’t see FSU OG Josue Matias. Cheers.
JIm Matias is falling down prospect lists. He looked very stiff at the Combine and weighed in at only 309 lbs. That’s way lighter than expected and way to light for a guy who only ran a 5.52/40. With a vert of only 17.5″ and broad jump of only 7′ he would be ? for his athleticism at 330 lbs.+ never mind less than 310. Looking like a guy now who might not get drafted at all. Pigskin Paul PS I thought FABULUJE had a great week of practice at the Shrine Game.
Great points, thanks! I heard about Fabuluje looking good at the Shrine game practices, also I looked over this tape of him against Oklahoma and came away very impressed- the power is there, but the feet on a guy who’s about 340 lbs were mighty impressive:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkP3N7yJjso
The first couple of plays show his power and there’s some nice second level blocking at 2:15
Cheers, and thanks as always for the great draft work
Jim
I was sorry to see Tayo accept the SR Bowl invite and then not play in the Shrine venue. He needed to play in that game and validate what we saw in practice. He got hurt in Mobile and made no impact other than the weigh-in. Gotta wait til Draft Saturday to take him. Pigskin Paul
I watched a live stream of the boise st. pro-day yesterday. Jay Ajayi put on a show for the Seattle,Jacksonville and Chargers Running Back coaches. These guys don’t scout 3RD RD Backs. The tandum of Hedrick and Miller was sensational! Hedrick was 45of48 passing and Miller got a standing ovation after catching a 55 YD in the air Touchdown pass.
The Video is available at http://WWW.Idahostatesmam.com/BroncoBeat.
I really like AJAYI and I think he’s right on the cusp of the late 2nd Round IMO. I agree he’d be a great potential fit for the Chargers and their power running attack. To me he’s a bit smaller Steven Jackson. MILLER could be a late round surprise if teams deem him healthy. Pigskin Paul
Hendrick was the star of the pro-day , he did everything required of an NFL Quarterback.
He made every throw to every type of receiver he was suppierior in every drill.
His 55yd pass to miller says he has an NFL arm.
Pingback: Cowboys Pre-Draft Visit Tracker: Baylor QB Bryce Petty, ASU Safety Damarious Randall To Visit - Sports Train
PETTY had a very good Pro Day workout and I would expect him to start climbing a bit. I think he’s battling with HUNDLEY to be the 3rd QB taken. I’m still guessing Round 3, but…. Pigskin Paul
I don’t see Georgia WR Chris Conley. Is this an error?
I don’t think I missed his name. Thanks.
I was very impressed by his Combine numbers and talked Colin into throwing him in right @ 200. He could even go up depending upon individual team workouts. Pigskin Paul
I am a Saints fan and like most of what they are doing but they need a possible replacement for Drew Brees and replacements for some of their aging linemen. I have noticed the last couple of years that some teams are doing very well running the ball and making the playoffs even the Super Bowl with strong running teams. Look at New England, Seattle, and others that can make running yardage when they need to. It’s very basic to football. Teams should build at least a fair OL and running game before bringing in a good QB. Look at Jacksonville struggling offense with a potentially good QB. Indy has built quickly around Luck. Many of the last 5 -7 years best teams are now starting to rebuild their rosters and a few who were down are starting to emerge. Notably, St. Louis, Minn., NYG, N.O., S.F. in the NFC and Houston, Buffalo, Miami and S.D. in the AFC.
RC, I fear the Saints have backed themselves into corner with poor Cap management and mediocre drafting under Mickey Loomis. Graham & Grubbs being dispatched could just be the tip of the iceberg. They need to seriously improve their drafting this year with all those extra Picks. They can’t use Rookie Free Agents as the backbone of their roster. Eventually talent wins out and you can’t outsmart the entire League on Day 4 of the Draft… at least not forever. Pigskin Paul
After the first active week of Free agency and the drafts projections I believe some teams are going to improve their rosters with quality players. I am a Saints fan and like some of what they are doing but they need a possible replacement for Drew Brees and replacements for some of their aging linemen. I have noticed the last couple of years that some teams are doing very well running the ball and making the playoffs even the Super Bowl with strong running teams. Number 32, Kevin Johnson is a CB. Not a WR
Thanks …ed
#90 AND 103 are same player. Maybe you guys should check through your list .
Hi Brian: Thanks for the tip. actually you got us in mid-revision and we were trying to do it the way we used to in our old system but it isn’t working that well with the new system. Will have to do it another way in the future to avoid the dupes. ed
I like the list. one thing though Check the players at #129 and #148
Colin, how will Brandon Schreff’s hamstring injury at the Combine affect his currently high draft position in the 1st round?
Jerie: The hammy should not affect his status at all; and the fact that he ran in the 5.05 range which is very good for a guy that size probably solidified his grade at the top OL; the only negatiives for Scherff were the fact that his arms only measured 33″ and then he had a disappointing bench but is still a guy known as a workout warrior.
Brandon Schreff’s pro position sounds more like a guard rather than a Tackle. If so, isn’t a Top 10 pick for a guard rather rare in the first round of the Draft?
Hi Jerie: Its a good question however while an OG going tip 10 is rare its not unheard; both Jon Cooper and Chance Warmack went top 10 a couple of years back. As well while many people think Scherff may be a better G than T fact is he played LT in college and has plenty of potential as a possible RT at the next level.
SCHERFF has some of the traits to play OT in the NFL. If that doesn’t work out he could still go to the Pro Bowl as an OG. For teams desperate for OL help that double-edged sword is appealing. Pigskin Paul
Love the changes…this has become possibly my favorite draft site
THank you so much for the compliment, but dont be bashful to tell us what you want more of going forward. Just don’t ask me to do a lot of Mocks. They give me headaches to do. Colin is better at it anyway.
Can you tell me the story on ILB Amarlo Herrera. Hes 4th rd on 1/2 the sites and UD on the other 1/2.
Why such a large discrepancy?
Thanks
The site looks great!
THanks very much. Now a favor. Click on an ad now and again so we can cover expenses of running the site. NO not salaries, just costs.
Thanks 3 Card; as I said in the intro there are still a few bugs in the new system. ed
You have Kevin Johnson listed twice at 61 and 100 also EJ Bibbs is from Iowa State not Colorado State
So far, this draft is not nearly as talented or deep as last years. Not only did last years draft have more underclassmen, but the top level talent seemed better. I’m sure there will be some good players that come from this draft, but I am just not seeing any stars. It always has to play out, sure, but I’m just not as excited right now. Some guys I’m watching, sure. Anyone agree or disagree? We still have 4 months…
You are dead on Jeremy in saying that the 2015 draft pales in comparison to last year’s draft especially at the very top of the board. Indeed, one could make the case that maybe other than USC DE Len Williams, nobody in this year’s draft would have been a lock to be a top 10 pick last year. That said, what makes this year’s draft interesting I believe is the day two talent. There is some real depth out there at RB, WR and along the OL, especially at OG and RT. And while there isn’t the same talent on D there are some emerging prospects at DT and there is real depth among the 3-4 OLBs, as well as some keepers at safety. And in many ways a less talented draft is a challenge for pro scouts because you have to be that much more diligent in your assessments.
PIgskin Paul will beg to differ on one aspect here. I believe it is weaker at the top, but almost as deep as last year. By the time we get awed by a few more surprises at the Combine having extra picks will again be a big deal forsome teams.
Pretty solid list. A little surprised by Eric Kendricks at 72. He think he could make it into the top 40.
I’m a long time reader. The new design is great. Thanks!
KENDRICKS size plays against him. He cost himself not attending SR Bowl. PP
Jeremy: Looks like he got lost in cyberspace; fortunately we found him and he’s back on. Thanks for the tip
I’m wondering why LB Stephone Anthony, from Clemson, isn’t on this list? Surely he is in top 200 players?
Anthony is at 124.
I have Andrus Peat as my alternative for Scherff if the Giants pick an OT with the 9th overall pick.
Rather have Flowers or Collins
I’d put RB Wisconsin Melvin Gordon into the top ten, I know the position of RB is on the decline in terms of how GM’s view the position. However, once GM’s and coaches get to meet this kid and see what kind of person he is, to go along with HUGE 3 down potential as a franchise type RB, he should get picked in the top 12 picks, he is a safe pick both on the field and off, and can get on the field from day one in the NFL. He would fit well with a few of the teams picking in that range.
