Top QBs dinged … A pair of top college QBs were forced to leave their respective games earlier today. Michigan State’s Connor Cook, for example, did not play in the 2nd half of the Spartans win over Maryland after bruising a shoulder in the first half. And the injury to Cook, a top 10-15 prospect for the 2016 draft who has been dealing with a sore shoulder for several weeks, couldn’t come at a worse time for MSU which is slated to play Ohio State next weekend. Meanwhile, star TCU junior QB Trevone Boykin, who is on most Heisman Trophy short lists, hobbled off the field with an ankle injury in the Horned Frogs’ game against Kansas and did not return.
