S Peppers latest to announce failed combine drug test … Michigan’s SS Jabrill Peppers has become the second first-round prospect for the upcoming draft to reveal that they tested positive for a dilute urine sample at the scouting combine. Alabama MLB Reuben Foster reported the same occurrence earlier this month. And like Foster, Peppers blames the failed test on the fact that he was sick during the combine and overhydrated prior to the testing. Not sure the NFL is going to buy that but Peppers has generally been considered to be a character player who has never had an off-field issue in the past. Its also important to note that while the media is just finding out about the test, NFL teams have known since the combine so it should not cause a sudden last-minute change to his status.
