Injured Huskers’ CB back at work

Injured Husker CB back at work … Interesting development at Nebraska where CB Chris Jones is back on the field working out. Jones, a solid second-tier prospect for the 2018 draft, was thought to be out for the year after he underwent surgery to repair a torn MCL on his left knee, but he has now back on the field doing light drills. Nebraska is reportedly still thinking Jones will not play again this year, but are now leaving the door open to a possible return later in the year. What makes the situation interesting is that if Jones is able to return this year, he’ll also be a full speed for pre-draft testing. On the other hand, Jones who has yet to red-shirt, may be more inclined to return for a 5th year with the Huskers if he does not play again this fall. The 6-0, 195-pound Jones started 20 games over the past couple of seasons, including all 13 in 2016 when he had 3 picks and 10 total tackles for loss.
